Hi, I’m Vera Maranzu, the founder of Afriartistry, and I’m crazy about the pure beauty of Africa. Africa is blessed with great beauty in her warm nature, the culture of her people (don’t forget the amazing food!), and Art .
My appreciation for the uniqueness and creativity of African artists grew immensely from my trips to African art exhibitions. These artists create art on a level that appeals to everyone while showcasing African cultures; from functional art in the form of mugs and home decor, to visual art with so much depth. That is the biggest motivation for this site as a medium to display and make these treasures accessible to a global audience. From an idea I conceived while at school in Southampton, we’re now based in Africa with associates in the UK and US! It’s a long road to becoming the biggest online medium for discovering art by Africans, but we’ll get there with your support.
At Afriartistry, we aim to create a balance of loyalty to both our artists and customers. We provide full free promotion for our artists and feature them on our medium at no charge, while employing fair trade principles as a guide in our business with each artist. We are also loyal to our customers by curating only unique, original and good quality art, ensuring that you have the best selections and experience satisfaction throughout the ordering, delivery and after sales process.
The artworks available on the store are well-made by our registered African artists with locally available materials. Each piece that is made to order for you will be similar to the photographed examples with very slight variations, adding to its originality and uniqueness to you. Some of the art are also personalisable, please contact us if you are interested in a custom order for a sold out piece.
Customer service is very important to us and we welcome your feedback and suggestions on making your Afriartistry experience better. Please use the Contact page to tell us what’s great and what we can do better. Our customer service will do its best to resolve all issues and if there’s anything you’d like to bring to my attention directly, feel free to email me at email@example.com and I will work with you to resolve any problems you may have experienced.
You could also check out our Blog to read up on some of our artists. Thank you for loving Africa like I do, and I hope you enjoy owning your piece of outstanding art from the Motherland!
PS: We’ve just added our wearable art line, Wear Afriartistry, this June (2017) where some of the art by our registered artists are reproduced as T-Shirts and other apparel in limited availability. Do check it out here, hope you enjoy and support!
